What to expect before the photoshoot:
After we get in contact and get something scheduled, I will get in touch so I can understand what you are looking for. Unpopular opinion, but I am a big fan of the voice message, so I likely will shoot you a message to figure out what you are looking for! We’ll discuss your style, what you have in mind, wardrobe choices, locations… that sort of thing!
If I feel nudged by the Holy Spirit, I also would love to take some time to pray over you and whatever we will be working on creating together — whether that is photos of your precious family, your child’s future after graduation from high school, or pictures of your cutie baby bump. I believe that the Lord has good plans in store for His children, so I would love to pray over and bless what He is doing in your life.
As I plan and prepare for your shoot on my own, I spend time praying over it so that I can better know how to support what is going on in your life.
At the photoshoot and after:
At the shoot, I like to take time to meet everyone who is present. I will take your phones so there are no lumps in pockets, and I like to make sure all apple watches, etc. are removed. I also want to make note that my amazing husband Jason is typically my assistant. If for some reason you are uncomfortable with a man being present at your shoot, that’s totally fine! Just let me know ahead of time, and we will make other arrangements!
Now, I know waiting for photos can be GRUELING so I always aim to get my edited photos to you within four weeks. Depending on workload, I can occasionally finish within a week or two — and that is my goal! But, I gotta give myself some wiggle room for busy seasons and life being life, so you can get the best quality possible.
You should also know that it is VERY typical for me to over-deliver on the number of photos. I give a minimum, but usually there are so many precious ones I can’t narrow them down! I get a little emotionally attached to the sweetness. What can I say!
