Wedding Anniversary Fall Photoshoot

Esther first reached out to me in the summer wanting to book a photoshoot for her and her husband’s five year wedding anniversary that was down the road. She knew that she wanted to have the fall colors in the shoot, but my word! I don’t think either of us were expecting the peak to be PEAKING like this!

Between shooting at golden hour when the sun was setting, to having a blanket of golden leaves on the ground, this was probably the most whimsical couple photoshoot I have ever done.

But, don’t be fooled by how peaceful it all looks! We had to wait our turn to get the good spots. I had driven out to this park multiple times in preparation for the shoot to make sure I had lots of different location options in my pocket. And, I am so glad that I did. There were lots of families out trying to get all the autumnal goodness! (Can you blame them?! I mean, look at this!) Esther and Lubin were so amazing patiently waiting (even with the shivery fall breezes), always keeping smiles on their faces, and the waiting totally paid off. We (Esther, Lubin, and myself) could not be happier with how this shoot turned out.

Moral of the story? Sometimes (thankfully not always!) it takes a little patience to get just the right photos. Some might say “Find a less crowded location,” and in some instances, that is absolutely the right call. But, other times, just waiting five minutes is all it takes to get your own little piece of photography magic.
